Colour Therapy

Among the most unusual treatments for illness is colour therapy. The different colours each have their own special properties and create different reactions in the human body. The colours have a resonance that can blend harmonically or conflict, causing either good health or bad.

Have you ever noticed how calming a tranquil blue ocean scene can be? Or how happy you feel in a bright yellow setting such as a field of yellow flowers? There are reasons for the way we feel when surrounded by certain colours. Each colour has a different effect and can be used for a variety of cures.

Red is the colour of passion and excitement. Red roses signify love! The colour itself affects the brain waves and the heart rate. It raises blood pressure and speeds up respiration. When you need stimulation or romances (or both!) try using the colour red to get things started!

Orange is the colour of wisdom and joy. It’s a bright and happy colour that inspires energy and appetite. This vibrant colour goes well in kitchens, insuring that the diners are ready, willing and able to eat their fill.

Yellow is a depression reliever. The bright and sunny colour reminds us of summer, even in the dead of winter and can boost sagging spirits. As yellow reminds of sunshine and sunny days gone by, it also helps the memory process of other things and works well if used in a classroom setting.

Green is a calming, cooling and relaxing colour. It inspires a feeling of grassy hills and beautiful scenery, soothing jangled nerves and providing a balance for the nervous system in general. It relieves depression and restores calm.

Blue is calming and cooling. Like a clear mountain lake reflecting a cloudless sky. It is good for breathing deeply, reminiscent of the aroma of pine trees and leafy gardens. Just wearing the colour blue can give you a relaxed and confident feeling.

Indigo is best used to treat sinus, immunity and facial distress. The colour resonates with others to work its magic.

Violet is the colour of cleansing, strengthening and awakening. It’s good for people on a diet as it suppresses the appetite. Like a lovely bouquet of violets it gives one a peaceful and comfortable feeling.

According to Bio-Pulse (http://www.biopulse.org/color.html ) the use of colour therapy

is both complicated and simple. But it’s entirely natural and very effective:

Colour is a living energy. It is a property of light. Light is an electromagnetic energy

produced by the sun in different wavelengths. As the light is absorbed and reflected we end up with different colours. Everything in nature is full of colour. Vibration forms everything in life. The universe is only the energy in vibration. Our body has energy fields (called charkas). All of our organs are comprised of vibrating atoms. All of us have our own unique energy system and our organs have different vibrational patterns. We all emit colour. Light has different particles called photons and microwaves. Light penetrates everything, even our bodies. Light also emits wavelengths that we cannot see (ultraviolet). These wavelengths contain radiation, which is energy. Energy is Qi and life. Now it is revealed that the length of a wave defines its colour. In our environment there is an enormous quantity of waves with different frequency characteristics. Moreover, concrete frequency and colour corresponds to each organ. Having the electromagnetic nature the colour cooperates with the energetic structures of a human body, strengthening or suppressing their vibrations. Significant changes in energy structure of the person invariable entail changes at a physical level.
